Rachel has been a practicing social worker since 2003, specializing in social

work within educational settings. Currently, she is a full-time faculty member at

the University of Nevada, Reno School of Social Work. Rachel joined the

Boosted Diplomas board in the summer of 2024 and is excited about its

potential to make the educational environment more accessible to all students

in Washoe County. She lives in Reno with her partner, two teenagers, and

three dogs, and enjoys exploring the outdoors—hiking in the summer and

skiing in the winter, and traveling whenever and wherever she can.
